I started my 32nd week last Thursday - just eight more weeks to go. By the time I see my doctor next, I'll only have SIX more weeks to go. The time is just flying by.
The most interesting recent development - physical wise - is I've begun to feel an on-again-off-again sensation of pressure on the right side of my pelvis. Peeking inside of Rebekah's copy of "What to Expect When You're Expecting" (because my copy is still packed away) it says that's pretty normal for the 32nd week. I'm taking it as a good sign that my pelvic is getting ready! I want so badly to have a quick labor and I just hope that my body is prepared for it. Mom had some pretty quick deliveries - I believe she said her first was only eight hours from when she began to feel contractions to when Joshua was born. Rebekah was not so lucky, she said she was feeling contractions for about a day and a half before going into the hospital and then it was about 12 hours later when Zeke was born.
This weekend I spent some time helping Rebekah get ready for the arrival of Eli - her due date is March 17th. Mom & Dad picked up the crib from our house which we'd been storing for them and delivered it on Saturday. After visiting with them for a bit, we went to Target and picked up stuff for her recovery after labor and we also made sure to snag me a pair of nursing bras that she was raving about. They really are VERY comfortable and, surprisingly, have an underwire. I was getting really worried that I wouldn' t be able to find a nursing bra that had an underwire and I feel as though I appear grotesque without that much needed support. I mean, c'on. I had to buy a 40DD & 42DD - that's just indecent and unflattering without support. Afterward was dinner at TGI Fridays and all in all we had a really good time. It had been awhile since it just was her and I going out and it was very recharging. I'm so glad that I can rely on Rebekah to help me out with all of this stuff - I just have no idea and luckily she's been through it all already. We dropped off the mattress on Sunday - so hopefully she's feeling much more prepared.
Next is to take care of my OWN preparations! Last night I finally got around to washing all of Evy's bedding - but didn't get around to putting it on her bed. With no light in there - I think I'm going to have to wait to do much in there unless the sun is up. So this afternoon that's going to be the first thing on my list. We still haven't put the changing table/dresser together (which, I forgot to post, was delivered last TUESDAY) so we're going to work on that this week too. I told Paul I want to have her room as assembled as possible BEFORE this weekend so I can show it off at the baby shower. I'm even going to put her curtains up - though I don't think I'm going to put up the wall decals.
